All children have the potential to achieve and we try to instill aspiration and ambition in all pupils. We give the children as many different experiences as possible through trips, visitors a big focus on sport and music tuition in the hope that something sparks an interest beyond the academic side of school.
We want all pupils to develop a love of learning and try to make lessons inspiring, engaging and fun. Our curriculum not only equips the children with the necessary skills, but it is adapted to take into account their interests and the local community where possible. We also have a commitment to outdoor learning with our Forest School.
Respect underpins everything we do at Coppull Primary School and Nursery. We teach children to respect one another and to embrace difference. We also encourage them to respect their environment both in school and in the wider community. Through our PSHE curriculum and children are taught to respect themselves and to build confidence in their ability to achieve.
Academic success is an aspiration we hold for all of our pupils irrespective of their starting point. All children are treated with dignity and are supported to succeed. Learning is personalised and inclusive and staff ensure that all children have any necessary resources. Our curriculum is designed so that learning is accessible for all pupils.
We believe that school should be a place where children feel safe and happy so that they can achieve their full potential. This permeates through everything that we do from the engaging curriculum, trips and visitors, a commitment to extra curricular activities and having dedicated and caring staff team. We also have a Wellbeing Team who are there for the children and families in times of need to support them emotionally and practically. Feeling safe in school is our primary aim alongside ensuring that children enjoy coming to school which will then have a positive impact on their learning.
