Welcome to Maple Class
In Maple Class we work hard, try our best in everything we do, enjoy learning and celebrate our achievements. The children are encouraged to be active, independent and motivated learners to ensure that they are ready for the challenges of Key Stage 2. Please follow @coppullprimary on Twitter to see photographs of what we get up to!
This half term our topic is ‘Roman Britain’. We will be exploring the impact of the Roman Empire on Britain and this theme will run through our History, Geography, Art and DT lessons. Our English this half term will be linked to our class novel, Iron Man.
This half term we will be continuing with our reading initiative ‘Read for the Stars’. Reading at home really does make a difference and is vital to support your child’s reading skills and development.
Although we are now in the spring term, it is still very changeable, please can you ensure that your child has a coat in school every day and that it is named. Children should also have a named PE kit in school every day. They may wear trainers instead of pumps and earrings must be removed. Our PE days will be on Tuesday and Wednesday.
We ask that parents support and observe our uniform policy and along with correct school uniform, trainers must not be worn for school.
Homework will continue to be set each week on a Friday and is due back in on the following Wednesday. This will consist of a piece of English or Maths. Spellings will be sent home on Monday and children will be tested the following Monday.
Thank for your support and if you have any questions or concerns then please feel free to speak to us before or after school.
