Official Opening of the New Playground
Friday 06 October 2017
We were lucky enough to have our local MP, Lindsay Hoyle, officially open phase one of the grounds redevelopment project.
Mr. Hoyle engaged with some of our older pupils in a question and answer session as well as being treated to a guided tour of our school from Head Boy and Head Girl, Jake and Maria.
He then joined the whole school, a group of parents and teachers to cut the ribbon and declare the new playground open!
Thanks again to Mr. Hoyle for coming down and spending the day with us.
New School Playground
Monday 04 September 2017
Over the summer some great things have been happening in the grounds of Coppull Primary School and Nursery!
The outside space has been undergone a great transformation, ccompleting phase one of the plan to rejuvenate the outdoor space to maximise the use across all age groups.
This first part of the development has given the EYFS Nursery and Reception area an outstanding new space with can be utilised throughout the school day. This dedicated and well-resourced outdoor area includes a new water and sand table, scales and water pipes and even a new tepee!
Children in Years 1 to 6 can now all use our new sports area (formerly known as “The Cage”!) and make great us of the new football posts, basketball hoops and a newly laid AstroTurf pitch.
For those who enjoy a more peaceful playtime there is now a great new rainbow awning to relax under, also with grass flooring, and nice quiet area with small chairs and activities.
I’m sure everyone will agree this has given the playground a much-needed lift and is now a friendly and colourful place for all out pupils to enjoy their break times!
We are really looking forward to adding more activities and equipment as time goes on, planning for Phase Two will soon be underway!
Thanks to all our teachers, students and families for all you help fundraising in school to make this happen!
