Co-opted governor

I am chair and have been a member of the governors at the school for many years. I am also on the finance  and curriculum committees. I am an ex-pupil of the school. I am married with three children who have all attended Coppull Primary School and Nursery, the youngest leaving in July 2017. I am an accountant with my own practice based in Coppull, currently providing accountancy services to around 120 clients in the Coppull and surrounding areas. In my spare time my hobbies include playing the piano and attending the local gym.

I've been on the governors since my appointment as deputy headteacher in May 2010. I attend all the various committee meetings through the year and as headteacher I present a detailed report to the full governing body three times a year. We are lucky to have a very supportive and hard-working team of governors who look to involve themselves in all aspects of school life.

I've been a Governor at the school for a long time!  

I'm retired, having worked as a lecturer in physics at Wigan College before becoming an education officer in the Children's Services Department. Current I'm a Chorley Borough Councillor and have been a Lancashire County Councillor and Coppull Parish Councillor in past years. I get out walking, climbing, skiing and cycling, at home and abroad.
